Job Summary
- Deliver prescribed physiotherapy and occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising therapist
- Assist clients with therapeutic exercises mobility training and activities of daily living (ADL) retraining
- Utilize assistive devices and adaptive equipment to support client independence and safety
- Monitor and document clients progress and report changes to the supervising PT/OT
- Provide education to clients and caregivers on exercises equipment usage and strategies for maintaining independence
- Completes documentation as required
- Regularly assesses the patients surroundings to ensure a safe home environment
Qualifications :
- Certificate or Diploma in the Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant Program from a recognized community college program or school registered with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities or equivalent in training and experience
- Current police check for work with the vulnerable sector
- Additional languages as asset
- Valid G2/G drivers license third party insurance coverage must be maintained at $1000000.00 and access to a reliable vehicle
