Position Overview:

Freddie Mac is seeking a highly experiencedCredit Directorto lead the development refinement and management of our credit policies in our Single-Family Acquisitions Division. This role requires deep expertise in credit risk and policy across various market environments and will ensure policies align with Freddie Macs business objectives regulatory requirements and market dynamics.

Your Impact:

  • Lead the ongoing development and optimization of Freddie Macs credit policy.
  • Use advanced credit risk assessment and market insights to drive policy decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to enhance policy effectiveness.
  • Ensure policies remain compliant with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
  • Communicate complex policy concepts clearly to internal and external audiences.
  • Identify and address gaps in skills processes and policy reputation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance Economics Business or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of experience in credit risk management and policy development within financial services with 4 years of management experience
  • Deep understanding of credit risk assessment portfolio management and regulatory compliance
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing effective credit policies
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities
  • Experience leveraging data and market trends for policy decisions
  • High level of integrity accountability and commitment to continuous improvement

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $184000 - $276000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position experience skill set internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
