Lead Cashier

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Cashier will assist customers during and after the checkout process at Natures Wonders. Oversee and guide cashiers and assist General Manager and Assistant Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Greets all customers when entering and leaving the store.

• Handles returns and exchanges diffuses and reassures frustrated customers.

• Oversees schedule adhere by team members.

• Be alert friendly and ready to assist at all times.

• Comfortable with all processes and functions of the point-of-sale system.

• Assures checkout counters are never left unattended.

• Diligently to keep money organized count change correctly insure accuracy of transactions and checks are filled out properly with all required information (correct amounts phone number drivers license number)

• Keeps checkout area clean and organized.

• Familiar with all discount programs offered by the store.

• Be diligent in associating customer accounts applying discounts punch cards etc.

• Bags product efficiently and accommodating customer wishes.

• Takes special orders and requests.

• Answers incoming phone calls.

• Assists with barista duties as needed.

• Any other duties as assigned.

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

• Experience in a customer service environment

• Excellent verbal written and communication skills

• Adaptability to new processes and procedures

• Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at one time.

• The ability to move freely around your workspace.

• Sitting standing squatting kneeling bending crawling and climbing may be necessary physical requirements for this position.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
