Job Summary
Lead PowerBuilder Developer / Technical Lead PowerBuilder
Client Location: Spartanburg SC (Remote is Fine)
Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design development and implementation of complex PowerBuilder applications.
- Development & Maintenance: Write complex PowerScript build DataWindows and maintain existing legacy applications.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance technical mentorship and conduct code reviews for junior developers.
- Architecture & Quality: Ensure applications are scalable maintainable and meet business requirements adhering to coding standards.
- Database Management: Expert-level knowledge of Sybase ASA DB including stored procedures triggers and query optimization.
- Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive debugging and performance tuning.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation including system specifications.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant PowerBuilder development experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with PowerBuilder (versions 19 preferred).
- Databases: Strong hands-on experience with Sybase ASA / ASE.
- Frameworks: Experience with PowerBuilder Foundation Class Library (PFC) and Non-Visual User Objects.
- Software Design: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication leadership and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience in BFSI/Lending domain is preferred.
