Position Summary:
The University Club of St. Paul is seeking personable professional and service-oriented Servers to join our front-of-house team. As a Server you will provide exceptional dining experiences to members and guests in a historic private club setting. This position requires attention to detail strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly knowledgeable and efficient service to all members and guests
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area including setting and clearing tables
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service throughout their dining experience
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service
- Follow all club and health department protocols for food safety and sanitation
- Assist with events banquets and private dining functions as needed
- Uphold the standards and traditions of the University Club of St. Paul
Qualifications:
- Previous serving experience preferred especially in fine dining or private club environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Reliable punctual and professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
- Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcohol in the state of Minnesota
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g. Toast Northstar) is a plus
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
