Software Engineer III- QA and Test Automation

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives

Job Responsibilities

• Review business requirements and use BDD to create clear testable scenarios.
• Collaborate with Product Owners UX Designers Developers and global teams.
• Build automate and integrate test suitesincluding API testsinto CI/CD pipelines.
• Use cloud platforms (AWS Azure) for testing and deployment.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing to complement automation.
• Use Git for code reviews branching and tracking code quality.
• Track and report bugs clearly using tools like JIRA.
• Prioritize and run regression tests based on risk.
• Read application code to help with debugging and writing tests.
• Foster excellence innovation and ongoing improvement in quality assurance practices.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience

• Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
• Proficient in automation frameworks (Selenium Playwright) and scripting languages (Python Java JavaScript).
• Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines such as AWS CodePipeline and Jenkins.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies

• ISEB or ISTQB certification.
