The Assistant Vice President of Broker Solutions(AVP)will lead the strategy vision and execution framework for our broker distribution role partners closely with Zone VPs and other Sales Leaders to drive broker-based growth ensuring our sales teams are equipped with the tools insights and support needed to win in the broker market.

The AVP of Broker Solutions will spearhead the national broker strategy and shape compelling market-facing value the organization on effective engagement activation and growth of broker will provide strategic leadership to the Director of National Broker Relationships and Broker Account Managers ensuring consistent high-quality support for broker partners across all markets.

Collaboratingclosely with field and home office teams to align initiatives and deliver seamless broker role is critical in enabling our broker partners success and driving sustainable growth through a unified strategic approach to broker distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute a scalable broker sales strategy aligned with company growth targets.

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for broker engagement production and satisfaction.

  • Directly manage and support the Director of National Broker Relationships and Broker Account Managers to ensure consistent execution and service delivery.

  • Collaborate with senior leadershipand internal teamsto ensure broker strategy supports all zones and business segments.

  • Lead cross-functional projects aimed atoptimizingbroker operations and digital systemic issuesimpactingbroker performance or service.

  • Develop and track success metricsfrom broker sources including APV case count recruiting and retention.

  • Analyze market trends and broker feedback toidentifyopportunities fornew solutions.

  • Drive innovation in broker onboarding compensation strategy and service delivery.

Strategic Objectives:

National Broker Sales Growth

  • Design and execute a broker growth strategy acrossthesales zones.

  • Establish and own national sales targets specific to broker-influenced production.

  • Partner with Zone Vice Presidents and other Sales Leadership to integrate broker strategy into overall sales plans.

Team Leadership & Structure

  • Lead and develop the Directors of National Broker Relationships and Broker Account Managers.

  • Builda scalable leadership model supportingregional execution and national alignment.

  • Establish cadence for broker sales reviews pipeline updates and forecasting.

Broker Partner Development

  • Create national broker partner segmentation and prioritization strategy.

  • Collaborate with the Premier Client Services and Broker Education teams to strengthen retention engagement and ease of doing business.

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Serve as executive liaison with underwriting billing operations and processing teams to resolve escalations and reduce friction for brokers.

  • Ensurethebrokerneeds and field feedback are informed ofcorporate strategy and product development.

  • Drive accountability with internal departments to ensure broker cases are processedpromptly and accurately.

Sales Enablement & Reporting

  • Develop broker sales reporting scorecards at national zone and individual levels.

  • Partner with Marketing and Education teams to produce broker-facing materials training and value proposition content.

  • Establish KPIs that measure relationship development case acquisition and retention.



Qualifications

Skills

  • Deep understanding of insurance products broker networks and distribution channels
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies to grow broker partnerships and drive business results
  • Analytical skills for market analysis and identifying growth opportunities
  • Experience leading teams mentoring staff and driving performance
  • Change management and the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication for presenting solutions leading meetings and reporting to senior management
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality broker and client experiences
  • Ability to gather feedback and implement service improvements

Education & Experience

  • 15 years of experience in voluntary benefits worksite distribution or insurance sales
  • Proventrack recordof building broker sales channels and leading regional/national teams
  • Strong executive presence with strategic and operational acumen
  • Expert in broker compensation enrollment strategy and third-party relationships
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
