Position Purpose

Responsible for assisting in the programming start-up and maintenance of Building Automation & Controls projects as assigned. Collaborate with other technicians during design programming start-up and commissioning of control systems.

Position Responsibilities

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve various control system operational problems.
Assist in the service of control systems that are under Bassett contract.
Assist in the coordination install and start-up of control systems as requested.
Assist in programming design coordination wiring and other installation work as assigned.
Assist in controls maintenance on control contracts as time and schedule will allow.
Attend controls classes and/or apprenticeship classes as required to increase knowledge of HVAC and controls.
Support and maintain a safe and Lean working environment.
Mechanical equipment start-up and checkout.
Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Skills Knowledge and Abilities

Good electrical and controls knowledge.
Good organizational skills.
Associate Degree or equivalent experience with HVAC and control systems
Carrier Controls KMC and/or Niagara programming experience preferred but not required.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to understand training and instructions on controls programming as furnished through controls department.
Strong computer skills.
Must be physicallyable to enter restricted areas (air handlers ducts and confined spaces) for first hand observation or inspection (required safety training would be provided prior to this)
Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record
