Job Summary
Occupational Therapist II (Contract)
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Range: $38$45 per hour (based on years of experience)
Position Type: Contract
Schedule & Shift
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: MondayFriday
Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Total Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in acute care and outpatient settings. This role involves patient evaluation treatment planning and close collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery safety and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by a physician
Evaluate patients to identify functional limitations and therapy needs
Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical findings
Deliver therapy services in both acute care and outpatient environments
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in clinical rounds interdisciplinary meetings and conferences
Educate patients and families on treatment goals and progress
Maintain therapy equipment supplies and treatment areas
Participate in required education and in-service programs
Ensure compliance with facility policies professional standards and New York State regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active New York State Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility)
Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience
Required experience in acute care and outpatient settings
Ability to work one weekend per month
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience in hospital or medical center environments
Strong patient and family education skills
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
