Job Summary: The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a range of acute medical conditions. This role emphasizes clinical assessment patient monitoring and coordinated care delivery within an inpatient Med Surg/Telemetry setting.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of medical-surgical patients.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards.
Monitor patient responses and identify changes in condition requiring escalation.
Document nursing care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience Required
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience Required
Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience Required
EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required

Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

License: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License Required

Facility Details
Location: 1111 Amsterdam Ave New York NY 10025
34-bed Medical-Surgical unit with an average census of approximately 30 patients
Staffing guideline of 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
