As we continue to growwere looking for a 3D Scanning Technician Internto join our construction technology team. This isa great opportunityfor a recent graduate who has already gained hands-on 3D scanning experience through coursework co-op or early career work and is now ready to take the next step. If you have the educational background and practical exposure to3D Scanning Technologyand BIM tools this entry-level role will give you the platform to deepen your skills while contributing to high-impact projects across the Lower Mainlandcollaborating closely with the drafting team.

WhatYoullDo

  • Collaborate primarily with the drafting team and contribute as an integral member of the drafting team
  • Captureaccuratepoint cloud data of construction sites and existing structures using Trimble and Faro equipment (training provided)
  • Help process and register point cloud data using software such as TrimbleFieldLinkor FARO Scene
  • Support the creation of comprehensive BIM deliverables basedonscan data using Autodesk Revit
  • Contribute to as-built documentation and fabrication-ready packages
  • Maintain organized data sets andassistwith quality control checks

What You Bring to the Team

  • Recent successful completion of a diploma/degree in Geomatics Surveying Civil/Architectural Technology or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with 3D laser scanning/LiDAR through coursework co-op internship or early career work
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Revit and point cloud processing software (TrimbleFieldLink FARO Scene or similar)
  • Understanding of BIM concepts software and ability to contribute to project models
  • Strong attention to detail data management skills and ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Adaptable tech-savvy and eager to keep learning in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid drivers license (or ability to obtain) and willingness to travel to project sites

  • Hours of Work: M-F 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
  • Hourly: $22.00 per hour
