We have successfully delivered large infrastructure projects across Canada since 2001. Our leadership and expertise span the entire value chain from research and development through construction operation and maintenance of projects. Currently involved in some of Canadas largest infrastructure projects ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.
The Station Coordinator Structural oversees structural aspects of station constructionensuring collaboration with other departments and subcontractors. Responsibilitiesinclude managing schedules reviewing drawings coordinating inputs and deliverablesand maintaining documentation.
- Coordinate with architects engineers contractors and subcontractors to ensure allstructural project requirements are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules ensuring timely completion of structural tasksand milestones.
- Review structural design drawings (DWG) and shop drawings to identify discrepanciesand address concerns with relevant stakeholders before construction.
- Follow up with supporting departments including Environmental Safety and Qualityto ensure their input and submissions meet milestone dates for operations.
- Following up with Subcontractor for their input and submittal and deliverable includingshop drawing safety and environmental paperworks ITPs and quality packages andmaterial datasheet regarding the scope ensuring on time deliver.
- Develop scopes of work draft schedules perform quantity take-offs preparepresentations and draft construction sketches related to assigned structural activities.
- Manage meetings take notes for minutes and follow up on all items to ensure theyare addressed and closed in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and financial forecasts related tostructural work.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction
- Prepare and present regular progress reports including updates on timelines budgetstatus and any issues encountered.
- Facilitate meetings to review progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including contracts changeorders and progress reports.
- Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and kept current.
- Perform other related duties as assigned promoting a positive team environment anda culture of collaboration.
Work Conditions:
May require working extended hours including weekends and holidays to meet
project deadlines.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Must possess a valid Ontario Drivers License G or G2.
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment under different weather and
environmental conditions. - Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction in transit stations.
- Experience with TTC Go Corridor and Metrolinx Specifications and Standards forTransit Stations is an asset.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite andAutoCAD.
- Knowledge of stations construction practices materials and relevant local regulationsand standards.
- Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicateeffectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A commitment to safety environment and quality with a strong attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit with a focus on achieving project goalsand enhancing team performance
