Job Description:
A Civil Engineerdesigns plans constructs and maintains public infrastructure like roads bridges buildings and water systems involving site investigation feasibility studies cost estimation blueprint creation using CAD risk management budget oversight and ensuring compliance with safety/legal standards coordinating with teams and managing projects from concept to completion.They translate project concepts into technical plans monitor construction and ensure structural integrity and public safety requiring strong math IT problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Planning:Develop detailed plans blueprints and technical documents for projects using software like CAD.
- Feasibility & Analysis:Conduct site investigations analyze soil terrain and environmental data and perform risk assessments.
- Project Management:Oversee budgets schedules resources and timelines ensuring projects meet objectives.
- Construction Oversight:Inspect sites monitor progress ensure adherence to specifications and provide technical guidance.
- Documentation:Prepare reports cost estimates specifications and permit applications.
- Compliance:Ensure adherence to building codes zoning laws and safety regulations.
- Collaboration:Work with architects contractors government officials and project managers.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong understanding of math science engineering principles and building codes.
