Job Summary

Assistant Principal

Gatesville Elementary School Grades 1st-3rd

2026-2027

Assist the school principal in overall administration of instructional program and campus level operations. Coordinate assigned student activities and services.

Education/Certification/License/Experience:

Masters degree
Valid Texas principal certificate; or enrolled in a principal certification program and within one year of challenging the principal certification exam to be considered
Citizenship residency work visa in the United States required
Three years experience as a classroom teacher
Experience in instructional leadership roles preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Thorough understanding of school operations
Help to enforce a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior
Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational communication public relations and interpersonal skills
