DOT is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Shared Mobility Program Coordinator (Senior Transportation Planner)who will support the Program Manager in ensuring the smooth operations of SDOTs bike share scooter share and car share programs. The Coordinator plays a key role in overseeing shared mobility operations providing evaluation and program design input managing education and outreach activities and leading the planning and implementation of bike and scooter share parking throughout the City.


Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as project manager for the implementation of designated bike and scooter share parking spaces including prioritizing evaluating locations conducting outreach and coordinating implementation. Coordinates with other relevant programs such as bike safety corridors and Vision Zero to strategically implement bike and scooter share parking.
  • Plans and manages outreach and education activities to expand access to bike share and scooter share and improve safety in coordination with the program team vendors and community-based organizations.
  • Manages and streamlines day-to-day operations for shared mobility programs including communications with vendors and the public and required vendor reporting.
  • Conducts on-site audits of micromobility devices to track device operability and proper parking communicating with vendors about their performance.
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager monitors and evaluates bike share scooter share and car share programs to ensure they are meeting goals related to ridership equity and safety.
  • Supervises and supports interns.
  • Supports department goals in promoting diversity and social justice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Transportation Planning Urban Planning or related field.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience withtransportation planning or transportation development.

OR:An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position duties.

Though not requirements strong candidates will have some of the following experience or are able to describe comparable experience:

  • Experience with transportation project delivery.
  • Experience conducting outreach education communications and/or events to reach diverse audiences.
  • Experience planning for active transportation and shared micromobility.
  • Experience and/or interest in managing private-sector providers especially shared mobility providers such as bike share scooter share or car share.
  • Experience using ESRI ArcMap and/or other mapping software.
  • Experience with data analytics and program evaluation and facility with Microsoft Excel and/or other software used for analysis and data management.
  • Ability to learn to use new software develop new skills and readily adapt to a rapidly changing field.
  • Ability to effectively work in a multi-cultural workplace with a diverse customer base.

Work Environment:

  • Work is typically performed in a hybrid work environment in which a minimum of 3 days of work is completed in a City office and 2 days of work is completed remotely in a regular 40-hour work week.

The Citys full salary range for this position is$60.55 - $70.40 hourly.
