At our facility in Vaughan ON you can develop your full potential sustainably by applying your expertise within the Packaging sector as a Financial Analyst.

The Financial Analyst reports to the Plant Controller and provides support to plant accounting and manufacturing. Responsibilities include monthly closing variance analysis and management reporting on fixed costs production inventory expenses and profitability.

  • Assist with monthly closing reconciliations and daily maintenance cost reports.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve profitability and standardize processes.
  • Track capital project costs and coordinate inventory processes.
  • Analyze fixed cost expenditures and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Support budgeting forecasting and provide analytical support to the Senior Controller.
  • Produce monthly financial reports and analyze results for variance reporting.

  • An experience of 2 years in financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting processes and controls.
  • A bachelors degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Strong problem-solving decision making and analytical skills.
  • Strong Excel -must be able to create reports out of large amounts of data.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Your challenge!

Reporting to the Controller the Financial Analysts mission is to support his or her manager in making strategic business decisions and establishing his or her groups business strategy in order to contribute to the achievement of financial and operational objectives. You thus use your expertise to produce the statutory reports and analyses required to prepare your business units financial statements while ensuring the completeness and reliability of the information produced and communicated. Finally you make relevant recommendations to optimize processes and implement business strategies thus actively contributing to your sectors operational and administrative efficiency.
