FACILITIES SPECIALIST
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track and assign facilities requests through Jira to maintenance technicians
- Maintain interior office and factory cleanliness
- Organize office cleanups
- Plan set up and execute events for VIPs vendors and internal staff
- Recommend move plans and help with office relocations
- Perform job walks with key business unit managers and supervisors
- Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved vetted and insured
- Help support and manage campus services such as the bike program laundry program and office supplies
- Assist with badging ITAR NDA requirements and safety training
- Create RFPOs and assist the manager with furniture and vendor selection
- Track purchase orders weekly reports and project schedules and statuses
- Meet with key SpaceX end users and establish the scope of work
- Assist the Facilities manager(s) in all aspects of project implementation as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree or 5 years of experience in managing facilities vendors contract management
- 3 years of experience in managing facilities vendors contract management or shipping and operational logistics
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with managing commercial office or industrial facilities
- Familiar with space planning procedures and operations
- Knowledge of basic computer applications; ability to easily navigate through different computer software programs
- Ability to create and update RFPOs and facilities work orders in an ERP software
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to make independent judgments with limited information
- Strong communication skills for relaying data (verbally and in-writing) between other employees vendors and customers
- Able to read and understand basic floor plans
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to work all shifts extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Standing for long periods of time climbing up and down ladders bending grasping sitting pulling pushing stooping and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be able to travel - up to 5% work week travel may be required to other SpaceX sites
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Level I: $75000.00 - $95000.00/per year
Level II: $90000.00 - $115000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
