Chewy is seeking a business unit HR leader to own the People strategy for Chewy Vet Care (CVC) our fastest-growing business and a critical pillar of Chewys long-term strategy. Based in our Plantation FL headquarters this executive will serve as the senior HR leader for Chewy Vet Care (CVC) and a close partner to the President and leadership team. This is a highly visible role with enterprise impact responsible for aligning people strategy with business priorities leading cross-functional HR initiatives and building the infrastructure to support a high-growth multi-site operation. This leader will shape how we grow and operate building teams culture and systems that deliver lasting impact for pets pet parents and veterinary professionals across the country.
What Youll Do
- Serve as the strategic HR partner to the President of Chewy Vet Care and their executive team advising on organizational priorities and talent strategy
- Lead and scale core HR functions for CVC including HR Business Partners (HRBPs) Talent Management and Development Team Member Experience and Total Rewards
- Build and lead a high-performing HR team supporting both practice operations and corporate veterinary functions
- Drive enterprise-aligned change management initiatives related to growth M&A org design systems and cultural integration
- Translate business goals into actionable people strategies and programs that enable scalable growth engagement and operational excellence
- Use data insights and workforce planning to inform strategic decisions and identify future talent needs
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders to ensure consistency compliance and a world-class team member experience
- Champion Chewys values and Operating Principles fostering a culture of inclusion accountability and innovation
What Youll Need
- 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred (SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification a plus).
- Deep expertise across core HR domains: HRBP Total Rewards Talent Management Learning and Development and Employee Relations
- Proven success leading HR strategy in complex high-growth and multi-site organizations; healthcare or clinical operations experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale organizational change and business transformation
- Strong executive presence with the ability to coach senior leaders and influence at the highest levels
- Analytical approach with the ability to use data to drive decisions
- Lead HR strategy and execution for current and future M&A activity with a focus on organizational design talent integration and culture alignment that position the business for sustained growth and scalability.
- Experience within human or animal health industries is preferred
- Ability to travel as needed up to 25%
