Responsibilities
Stock incoming parts orders and ship outgoing parts for the dealership
Assist in maintaining adequate parts inventory while minimizing obsolescence; maintain proper reporting and inventory controls
Establish and practice measures to deter departmental theft
Maintain a perpetual inventory bin-maintenance system
Process obsolete parts returns on a timely basis ensuring eligibility of parts prior to return per supplier requirements
Develop systems for receiving shipping logging tracking and controlling all parts and related documentation daily
Assist accounting with claims credit or inventory discrepancies as requested
Review special inventory to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess stock; notify appropriate parties when special order parts arrive
Ensure credits are issued for customer-returned parts and assist in monthly parts returns
Communicate with the Warranty Administrator to facilitate timely shipping of warranty parts.
Keep and file accurate logs of daily deliveries and pick-ups ensuring recipients signature is on each delivery entry
Advise parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous Automotive experience is preferred
Knowledge of Parts Department preferred but no previous experience required
General math skills to include reconciling stock orders quantity adjustments etc.
Ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record
