Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction: Meet with clients to understand needs budgets and project goals and present design proposals.

Design & Documentation: Develop concepts create detailed drawings (floor plans elevations) specifications and construction documents.

Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of building codes materials sustainability and construction technology.

Project Management: Manage timelines budgets and project teams from start to finish.

Collaboration: Work with engineers contractors and construction managers to integrate systems (electrical HVAC).

Site Supervision: Visit construction sites to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans.

Essential Skills:

3D visualization and spatial reasoning

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Problem-solving and leadership

Proficiency in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD Revit)

Typical Work Environment:

Primarily in an office setting for design and meetings with time spent at construction sites.

Often involves working more than 40 hours a week especially during project phases.
