What You Will Do
  • Establish and maintain a procurement plan for the DPR to ensure that the procurement of goods and services budgeted for the fiscal year are executed and done in accordance with City Procurement Rules and Regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of Master Agreements utilized by the DPR.
  • Review documents for compliance with State and Federal procurement guidelines and requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Special Work Requirements
  • Will serve as a Disaster Response worker Shelter Operations during declared emergencies.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major work in city planning sociology business or public administration or a related field.

Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge skills and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelors degree.

For example:
1. Four (4) years of professional work experience in any occupation may substitute for a general bachelors degree.
2. Four (4) years of general work experience (does not need to be professional level experience) involving the conduct and compilation of surveys studies and/or statistical data may be substituted for a general bachelors degree.

The education requirement must be met at the time of application. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at an accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education proper documentation e.g. a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
One (1) year of research or analytical experience in social economic or community development programs.

Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of research methods and statistical procedures; standard sources and uses of socio-economic information; socio-economic problems and conditions; basic objectives and principles of community planning; and the ability to conduct research and statistical studies; collect classify and analyze statistical data; prepare tables charts and graphs; and prepare clear and concise reports.

Substitution: A Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning Social Sciences Business Administration Public Administration or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university may be substituted for the required one year of research or analytical experience in social economic or community development programs.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a validappropriate drivers license (Type 3/automobile)as required.
