Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented analytical and experienced Cost Control Specialist to monitor manage and optimize project costs in a fully remote capacity. This position is open exclusively to candidates residing within the United States and applications from outside the U.S. will not be considered.

The Cost Control Specialist will be responsible for cost tracking budget management forecasting and reporting to ensure projects are completed within budget while maximizing efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills a deep understanding of project accounting and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor project budgets expenses and financial performance to ensure compliance with approved budgets

Develop maintain and update cost control reports forecasts and schedules

Analyze project costs and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements

Collaborate with project managers finance teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking

Review contracts invoices and change orders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

Identify cost variances and potential financial risks and provide mitigation strategies

Maintain accurate records of project financial data reports and documentation

Support project reporting and presentations to management clients and stakeholders

Assist in the development and implementation of cost control procedures and best practices

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Construction Management or a related field

Proven experience as a Cost Control Specialist Project Cost Analyst or similar role

Proficiency in cost management and project management software (e.g. Primavera P6 Microsoft Project Procore SAP)

Strong understanding of project accounting budgeting and financial analysis

Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment

Must reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

Annual Salary: $75000 $100000 USD commensurate with experience and qualifications
