About the role
As a Senior Scientist within Lubrizols Chemical Design and Synthesis department youll play a pivotal role in inventing and developing molecules with unique properties to meet evolving business needs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creativity problem-solving and collaboration in a global research environment.
Youll lead synthetic projects optimize processes for commercialization and develop structure-performance relationships to guide innovation. Your work will directly impact product development sustainability initiatives and technical support for existing products.
About you
You bring strong expertise in synthetic chemistry and a passion for driving scientific innovation. Youre analytical adaptable and skilled at managing multiple projects while mentoring junior team members.
You will also bring:
- PhD in synthetic chemistry with post-doctoral or industrial experience
- Proven ability to solve technical challenges using scientific logic and creativity
- Track record of innovative thinking and accomplishments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for success in a global multidisciplinary environment
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in IT tools (Word Excel PowerPoint Chemdraw or equivalent)
Experience with the following is a plus:
- High-throughput chemistry and automation
- Machine learning applications in chemistry
- Modelling and statistical analysis
- Process development scale-up and troubleshooting plant processes
