Overview

We are seeking a Senior Roadway Project Managerto join ourEdison NJoffice.

Under direction provides professional and project management expertise in the direction ofhighly unconventional projects requiring multiple technical units and/or subcontractorsheavy regulatory agency involvement or extremely complex technical requirements. Supervises the staff and work production of a technical work unit. Provides leadership direction and technical guidance to staff to ensure that quality technical services are provided to clients and that the technical work unit meets its operating performance targets. Also performs the basic project functions of production coordination planning organizing directing controlling financial management andmarketing.

Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractorsand drafts very complex professional service agreements arranging for their review andexecution by senior management. Conducts QCAP reviews of less complicatedprofessional services agreements.

Your role

• Directs project team compliance with contract terms monitors subcontractors progress performance and compliance with contractual commitments; participates in contractdispute resolution and litigation concerning project performance administration andother liability issues; reviews and approves subconsultant and vendor invoices and resolves payment disputes.
• Develops communicates and manages project quality assurance administrativeprocedures communication guidelines project deliverable formats and specificationsand progress reporting requirements.
• Monitors schedules billings and reports; ensures appropriate charging of manhourscosts and expenses to projects; assists in obtaining payment from clients; resolves clientdisputes and adjusts billing records as required; communicates project progress/statusto senior management and alerts them of project production quality control or financialperformance problems.
• Identifies new business opportunities for the firm coordinates and participates in projectpresentations to clients and other external groups and promotes firms capabilitiesmarketing its services among existing and prospective clients.
• Participates in project opportunity evaluation consultant selection and in the
  preparation of firms qualification/experience statements.
• Coordinates communications between internal and external associates and client andbetween firm and regulatory agencies. Maintains frequent contact with clients and regulatory agency personnel to determine their respective needs and requirements and serves as expert witness at project hearings and judicial proceedings if necessary.
• Supervises other project managers technical professionals and other design staffincluding managing weekly project workload and manpower forecasting.
• Conducts project management training workshops and serves as mentor to associateproject managers and project managers.
• Monitors and reports financial status of projects to technical managers.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you

• Bachelors degree in field(s) of practice.
• 10-15 years of experience required. 8 of these working as a projectmanager.
• PE license in NJ and/or PA.
• Proven interpersonal skills public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financialmanagement and team management skills; knowledge of production support systems andpersonal computer proficiency.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between$125000 - $175000 annuallydepending on skills experience and geographical location.
