Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to provide part-time support in financial analysis auditing and investigative accounting. This role involves reviewing financial records identifying irregularities and supporting audit and control functions while providing technical guidance to agency staff.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze financial records bank statements and transactions to identify fraud theft or embezzlement

Conduct interviews with relevant stakeholders to gather and validate information

Collect document and preserve evidence while maintaining proper chain of custody

Identify anomalies patterns and trends indicating potential financial misconduct

Prepare detailed investigative and audit reports including findings and loss assessments
-
Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to mitigate financial risk

Collaborate with legal teams and provide expert input for hearings or proceedings as needed
Experience & Skills
-
Background in Accounting Finance or a related field

CPA or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred

Proven experience in forensic accounting auditing or financial investigations

Proficiency in MS Excel QuickBooks or similar accounting software
-
Strong analytical investigative and problem-solving skills
-
High attention to detail integrity and strong written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with auditing standards and procedures
