As a part-time CT Technologist I at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center you will have the opportunity to work two 12-hour shifts per week with alternating weekends. The CT Technologist I under direct supervision uses computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.
Summary of Essential Duties:
Accurately interpret a physicians scanning instructions
Administer contrast material
Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
Follow infection control and safety guidelines
The schedule for this position will be two 12-hour shifts every other Saturday and Sunday.
Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Graduate of a JRCERT accredited School of Radiologic Technology program required
Licensure/Certifications:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology certification (ARRT-R) required
California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
Venipuncture certification required
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferred
Applicants with 2 years experience may be considered as a CT Tech II
