We are hiring a JourneyIT App Developer supporting the Finance Technology and Analytics Administration (FTAA).
This position serves as a developer at expert level in application development efforts responsible for providing expert consultation design development and coding of large applications to meet the critical business needs as well as supporting ongoing maintenance activity for administrations applications.
This position is also responsible for evaluating new development tools products frameworks and provide expert recommendations on design/programming systems solutions to management.
This position functions within the construct of a technical development team works independently as senior developer collaborating and consulting with other team members and technical staffs to design develop applications and system interfaces.

- Analyze system at an expert level: collecting and reviewing information to determine the nature and scope of effect of proposed changes to system aiding the executive management team in decision making.
- Provide feasibility and level of effort estimates on requested work.
- Develop work breakdown structure.
- Plan/Assign developments tasks.
- Design Develop code and test systems to meet the requested work in Java Technology at an expert level.
- Lead Design develop and modify system interfaces with internal and external agencies using web services.
- Perform threat modeling and code scanning using tools and fix any identified vulnerabilities.
- Facilitate peer code review process.
- Create and support multiple application environments.
- Record work progress in Issue tracking tools.
- Review/prepare release checklist to coordinate application release activities.
- Release application to Java application server.
- Identify documentation needs and ensure system documentation and program specifications are up to date.
Were looking for an IT professional with:
- Six years of information technology experience such as consulting analyzing designing programming installing and/or maintaining computer software applications hardware telecommunications or network infrastructure equipment directing projects providing customer or technical support in information technology; or administering or supervising staff who performed work in any of these information technology disciplines. (A bachelors degree closely aligned with Information Technology may substitute year-for-year for the above experience up to four years).
- Four or more Years of hands on Java programming experience building web application (with Servlets/Java Server Pages / Tag Libraries/ Java Script
HTML CSS etc and frameworks like Spring struts Hibernate Angular) and Desktop applications (using Swing Reflections JDBC Web Services). - Three or more Years of TSQL programming including the Stored Procedure.
Desired:
- Experience with Java Application server (such as Tomcat Jboss Weblogic) configuration and deployment tasks.
- Three or more years of Experience in Java Web Application development with Frameworks like Angular Struts Spring Hibernate Ibatis etc
