JOB SUMMARY:

The Monitor Technician promptly and accurately identifies documents and communicates information on the cardiac rhythm status of patients being monitored to the registered nurse and the as the first point of contact for a monitored patients call demonstrates a sense of urgency. The Monitor Technician supports positive patient family and staff relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BLS / Heartsaver

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent GED.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in health care as Paramedic EMT Unit Clerk Healthcare Clerical Associate Unit Secretary Nurse Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Computer literacy.

Previous experience in a specialty area.

Cardiac rhythm course

SHIFT/SCHEDULE

Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours

Shift Time - Days/Evening rotation

This position will have scheduled shifts every other weekend and every other holiday.
