Role Overview
Our Recruiter will build the talent pipeline essential to Spearheads expansion project sourcing and securing skilled candidates as we scale. This role spans all organizational levels from entry-level positions to senior leadership requiring both strategic recruitment planning and hands-on candidate management.
The position involves comprehensive immigration support utilizing LMIA applications Work Experience Canada programs and Kootenay Immigration Pilot Program submissions. The Recruiter ensures seamless transitions for foreign workers while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Beyond individual placements this role establishes sustainable recruitment partnerships and processes that support Spearheads long-term growth objectives. The Recruiter also plays a critical role in employee onboarding and orientation ensuring new hires are properly integrated and aligned with Spearheads culture from day one. The position combines advanced sourcing strategies with immigration expertise and cultural stewardship all aligned with Spearheads vision guiding principles and code of ethics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Execute comprehensive recruitment strategies specifically aligned with expansion project staffing requirements and timelines
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for all roles including leadership technical and support positions
- Create and execute targeted sourcing strategies for Canadian and international talent markets
- Collaborate with department managers to understand specific role requirements expertise required and project timelines
- Analyze recruitment metrics and effectiveness to continuously improve sourcing and selection processes
- Provide comprehensive support for foreign workers including work permit applications and processing
- Manage Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications and coordinate with legal counsel as required
- Coordinate Work Experience Canada program participation for eligible candidates
- Facilitate Kootenay Immigration Pilot Program applications and support permanent residency processes
- Maintain current knowledge of immigration policies procedures and regulatory changes affecting recruitment
Partnership Development & Administration
- Build relationships with professional associations industry groups and specialized recruitment networks
- Coordinate with external recruitment partners to expand sourcing capabilities and market reach as required
- Represent Spearhead at industry conferences networking events and recruitment forums
- Manage relationships with government agencies and immigration program administrators
- Maintain comprehensive candidate databases and recruitment tracking systems using Rippling
- Coordinate recruitment logistics including interview scheduling travel arrangements and accommodation planning for candidates
- Prepare detailed recruitment reports and analytics for People & Culture Manager and executive leadership
- Manage recruitment budgets including job board fees travel expenses and immigration processing costs
- Ensure all recruitment processes comply with BC Employment Standards and federal immigration requirements
- Coordinate with People & Culture Manager and Administration Manager for seamless onboarding of successful candidates

Qualifications Knowledge Skills Attributes
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment
- Specialized experience in international recruitment and immigration support processes
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (Rippling experience preferred) and applicant tracking systems
- Strong knowledge of recruitment compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal & written
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships
- Demonstrated success in high-volume time-sensitive recruitment environments
- Strong analytical skills for recruitment metrics analysis and process optimization
- Ability to maintain discretion to handle confidential and sensitive matters appropriately
- Strong ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
Schedule and Working Conditions
- Ability to work 8:30-5:00 Monday Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day
- Ability to work on-site at Spearhead offices or work remotely under hybrid arrangements with on-site time as needed to support recruitment processes
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a regular basis
- Ability to work sitting or standing at a desk for work shifts
- Ability to travel extensively for recruitment events candidate meetings and partnership development
- Occasional weekend availability for recruitment events and candidate coordination
Compensation
- Pay range is $70-$85K commensurate with experience and qualifications
