Responsibilities

What you will be doing

  • The Digital Technology Lead is responsible for providing leadership in the area of network operations for the Colleges IT Programs ensuring that Faculty and students have the support and resources required for high quality teaching and learning on an academic learning network.
  • You will be responsible for connecting with all related stakeholders province-wide to help shape and implement a viable updated solution that will meet educational needs while maintaining appropriate security measures. You will liaise and coordinate work on the solution with individual campus IT personnel to ensure a consistent and continually improving student and IT faculty experience across the College.

This position will provide support to all campuses across the province.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology.
  • You have a minimum of three years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in planning testing and troubleshooting for IT networking and systems development
  • Occupational experience that includes directing and guiding IT staff in educational institutions would be considered an asset.
  • Experience facilitating solutions-focused dialogues with various stakeholders would be considered an asset
  • Experience with SCCM Intune Microsoft Azure and Windows Deployment Services (WDS) would be considered an asset
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Make Me Admin the Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to in advancing your work
  • Experience in researching digital solutions would be considered an asset
