Job Summary

Engineer manages construction projects on-site ensuring designs are built correctly safely and on schedule by supervising work checking technical drawings coordinating teams troubleshooting issues managing materials and maintaining detailed progress reports to bridge engineering plans with physical construction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution: Overseeing daily construction activities ensuring adherence to specifications quality standards and safety regulations.

Technical Oversight: Interpreting blueprints technical drawings and geological data; providing technical advice; and resolving on-site engineering challenges.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising with architects project managers subcontractors and suppliers; briefing teams; and delegating tasks.

Quality & Safety: Conducting site inspections performing quality checks monitoring progress and enforcing health safety and environmental protocols (HSE).

Documentation: Preparing site reports progress logs change orders and maintaining accurate records.

Resource Management: Coordinating material procurement and delivery managing timelines and ensuring projects stay within budget and schedule.

Work Environment

Primarily on-site often outdoors in varying weather requiring physical fitness for site access.

Involves a mix of site work and office tasks (in temporary offices or main offices).

Required Skills:

Conducting surveys and gathering data for land development and construction projects. Designing and setting up survey systems including total stations and GPS receivers. Performing calculations and analyzing data to produce accurate survey reports.
