Contract: Fixed term rolling contract (1 year) 35 hours a week (8am to 4pm) Mondays to Fridays term time only
Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good two-form entry Primary Academy in Lewisham Southeast London looking for a full-time SEND LSA (Learning Support Assistant) to start on 2nd February 2026.

Key job responsibilities:
As a SEND LSA youll work in the Reception and Year 1 classes and support children with SEND primarily ASD and SEMH.
Youll work with pupils on 1:1 and small groups and take responsibility for pupils progress and attainment and track pupil progress against individual targets and provide supportive pupil intervention activities.
Youll organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources and plan challenging teaching and learning objectives to evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate.
Youll promote positive values attitudes and good pupil behaviour and support the education and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the Principal the SENCO Dyslexia Lead Teacher and class teachers.

The role is dependent upon the pupil(s) attending the school and ceases if he/she leaves the school or if SEND funding ceases or circumstances change. Hours are dependent on funding and will be reduced (with notice) if funding is reduced or circumstances change.
