The team in Australia is responsible for providing software development and support services forour globalIMG businessconsisting of the Equity Investment Group Fixed Income Investment Groupwith contributionstolargemodernizationanddigital transformationprograms.We are looking to growourteamin the regionthrough the addition of a seniorengineer.

What We Are Looking For

• Design implement and optimize backend services using TypeScript Java and possibly Go.

• Design implement and optimize front-end applications including a legacy Java RPC thick client and modern React web apps.

• A passionate Developer with broad knowledge in various methodology practices and concepts: full product life cycle Agile methodologyDevSecOpsprincipals etc

• A strong and in-depth understanding ofAWS CI/CD practices and modern development practices. Tooling such as Git/GitHub Docker Kubernetesetc.

• Contribute to architecture planning technical decisions and solution design.

• Identify performance bottlenecks resolve production issues and lead root cause analysis.

• Drive automation testing and support team members with cross-story testing.

• Collaborate with engineers across global teams in the US and UK to deliver complex solutions.

Specialization that will make an impact:

• Strong investment management knowledge-FX derivatives portfolio management and asset management.

• 8 years of software engineering experience across both front end and backend with hands-on work across multiple languages

• Proven ability to design and build APIs microservices and distributed systems at production scale.

• Effective communicator who enjoys collaborating mentoring and contributing to technical leadership.

• Can do attitude - proactive energetic and passionate about solving complex problems.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex incidents identify root causes across systems and implement reliable maintainable fixes.
