Overview
About the Role
The Loan and Lease Operations and Accounting Manager is responsible for strategic oversight and decision-making in directing and managing the operations and accounting function for the franchise and commercial loan and lease portfolio. This includes ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable banking regulations accurate financial reporting and effective management of loan and lease activities such as payment processing client communications renewals and modifications.
What Youll Do:
- Provides strategic oversight of loan and lease portfolio accounting processes and systems to ensure operational integrity and compliance with established policies.
- Directs the operation maintenance and validation of the system of record (Aspire) ensuring accuracy through supervisory review and established controls.
- Establishes review protocols and delegates verification tasks to ensure completeness and accuracy of lease data prior to booking.
- Oversees reconciliation processes between Aspire and Prologue ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Supervises the property tax and sales/use tax process ensuring compliance and accuracy through policy enforcement.
- Develops implements and enforces formal accounting policies procedures and guidelines to support organizational objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Provides leadership and accountability for loan and lease activities ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements through effective team management.
Qualifications
What you Bring:
- 10 years of finance & accounting and franchise development.
- 2 years experience in managing and supervising team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership and oversight for complex operational and accounting functions.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment in matters of policy compliance and resource allocation.
- Expertise in interpreting and applying GAAP and banking regulations to ensure organizational compliance and operational integrity.
- Proven ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
- Exceptional leadership skills including the ability to manage mentor and develop high-performing teams across multiple functional areas.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex financial and operational issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate with senior leadership and drive process improvements.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Business Finance Economics or Accounting equivalent.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
