Job Summary

Position:Head Volleyball Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Department:Athletics

Reports to:Director of Athletics

Affiliation:Unit A Section F

Salary range:$4683.00 $5664.00 stipend

Time Commitment:

Six days a week.
Twenty to twenty-five hours a week.
Three games a week.
Season Length- August to November

SUMMARY:

The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding head volleyball coach to coach the varsity volleyball team for the 2026-2027 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence equity and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning all areas of their team.
Leading and assisting their coaching staff in coordinating efforts under one program goal and ensuring compliance with rules at all levels.
Analyze game strategy.
Implementation of skill development.
Coverage on bus trips.
Video analysis of games.
Statistical analysis of games.
Attend all league local district and state meetings when necessary.
Reaching out to local Youth Groups to promote their respective sport in town.
Planning award ceremonies and individual award winners.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

CPR certified.
NFHS concussion course completed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma.
A degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience coaching volleyball
Strong communication and leadership skills
