Unit Function:
GDN integrates the UKs overseas people places and platforms into a single agile network that protects our sovereign territories sustains resilient overseas bases infrastructure and amplifies defence diplomacy- so the UK can deter fight and win with allies (under a NATO-first posture whilst shaping security beyond Europe).
Position Role:
Provide direct support to Defence Attache and Loan Service network xTLB and Service within scope of role.
Responsibilities:
Support and manage the Loan Service workforce to meet Defence Objectives in line with regional strategy and Bilateral MoUs. Understand JSP 468 (Loan Service and Broader Missions Regulations) and country specific Blue Books to ensure the accuracy and validity of Loan Service and Broader Missions applications and procedures. Manage all Annex As and Bs on behalf of DALS for LS applications and extensions. Liaise with sS Career Managers to ensure LS Policy and Procedures are adhered to during sS assignment process and boards. Liaise with the Defence Global Practice and Defence Childrens Services to ensure the overseas supportability of personnel applying for LS posts. Provide advice and oversee organisational structural changes within the DALS and IGDN liaising with Single Service Org Branches and initiating all Workforce Change Requests. Advise and support policy for the provision of LS teams in accordance with local requirements Support Defence Requirements Authority for Culture and Language (DRACLs) to ensure LS personnel are trained accordingly. Provide cross functional area support to IGDN Business Support |
