Job Summary
We are seeking a technically proficient and execution-focused Senior Engineering Manager Engineering to drive high-performance software delivery across our global engineering organization. This role is embedded within the engineering function and is responsible for ensuring code quality delivery velocity and cross-functional alignment across time zones and cultures.
The ideal candidate is hands-on with industry leading development tools fluent in agile delivery practices between onsite and offshore distributed teams and passionate about building scalable high-quality systems in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Technical Execution & Code Quality
- Lead and participate in daily code reviews across frontend and backend repositories to ensure adherence to engineering standards and architectural principles.
- Investigate and resolve build failures test regressions and deployment issues in CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate pull requests for performance impact test coverage and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineers to refactor legacy code and implement scalable modular patterns as part of architectural improvements in the product.
Tech Stack & Tooling Oversight
Operate fluently across a modern full-stack environment:
- Frontend: Angular TypeScript JavaScript
- Backend: .NET Core C#
- Data: SQL Server Cosmos DB Azure Data Lake Databricks
- Cloud & DevOps: Azure Azure DevOps GitHub Actions Docker Kubernetes
- Monitoring & Quality: SonarQube Postman Testim Azure Monitor Power BI
- AI & Automation: GitHub Copilot MS Copilot internal AI agents for test generation and productivity tracking
Global Delivery Management
- Own sprint execution backlog health and delivery velocity across distributed engineering teams in the US LATAM and other global regions.
- Coordinate across time zones to ensure seamless handoffs shared accountability and consistent delivery practices.
- Standardize engineering rituals (standups retros demos) and enforce agile discipline across pods.
- Ensure that global teams are aligned on delivery goals technical standards and release readiness.
- Own and lead defect tracking classification and assignment in the development team.
- Drive a culture of first-time-right engineering and continuous improvement.
Metrics-Driven Performance Management
- Define and track KPIs such as:
- PR throughput and merge frequency
- Test coverage and automation rates
- Bug resolution time and SLA adherence
- Develop velocity and utilization
- Capacity management productivity & utilization
Cross-Functional Integration
- Partner with QA to ensure test plans automation coverage and regression suites are aligned with delivery goals.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Product teams to ensure technical feasibility and delivery readiness of new features.
- Coordinate with DevOps to maintain build health deployment reliability and observability standards.
- Serve as the first line of escalation for blockers delivery risks and cross-team misalignments.
- Use GitHub Azure DevOps Harvest and internal dashboards to monitor and report on delivery health.
AI-Augmented Delivery
- Champion the adoption of AI-assisted development practices across engineering teams.
- Leverage AI tools to:
- Generate test cases and performance benchmarks.
- Analyze productivity trends and delivery bottlenecks.
- Automate reporting and alerting for delivery health.
Leadership Communication & Team Enablement
- Act as a trusted partner to engineering leadership providing clear data-backed insights into delivery health and team performance.
- Mentor team leaders and senior engineers deliver the best practices architecture and performance optimization.
- Identify underperforming contributors and lead performance improvement plans or transitions.
- Support hiring onboarding and upskilling of engineering talent across regions.
- Foster a culture of ownership transparency and collaboration across global teams.
