Job Summary:
The Clinical Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering surgical-related requirements facilitating workshops analyzing use cases and business processes and developing detailed business analysis documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of acute care Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS) and healthcare operations related to surgery.

Responsibilities:
- Gathering surgical-related requirements.
- Facilitating workshops with stakeholders.
- Analyzing use cases and business processes.
- Developing detailed business analysis documentation.
- Working within acute care Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS).
- Participating in health information systems/CIS implementation projects.
- Collaborating with project team members subject matter experts and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- University Degree in Healthcare Business Administration or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst / Clinical Informatics Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for Surgical related requirements gathering workshop facilitation use case analysis business process analysis detailed design activities and developing business analysis documentation.
- 5 years of experience working within acute care Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS) and healthcare operations as it relates to Surgery.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Clinical Informatics Analyst in health information systems/CIS implementation projects.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- 6 years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst specific to surgical workflows responsible for requirements gathering workshop facilitation use case analysis business process analysis detailed design activities and developing business analysis documentation in surgical areas within an acute care EHR/CIS environment (CPOE surgical order sets perioperative documentation anesthesia records and ancillary services).
- Strong verbal and written communication facilitation and presentation skills in French and English.
- 3 years of experience leading workshops with surgeons anesthesiologists perioperative nurses surgical schedulers and other healthcare providers.
- 5 years of experience working with a high level of self-direction and strong interpersonal skills.
- 5 years of experience multi-tasking and working with multiple teams.
- 5 years of knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Visio Outlook Teams).
- 2 years of experience using Atlassians JIRA software.
- Previous experience working within public health authorities or large surgical programs.
