Job Summary

Job Description

Technical consultant /Ingestion IT Systems Database Administrator Expert

Migration of Cellar store (the semantic repository of Publications Office) from AWS Cloud to another Cloud provider involving migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
Migrate existing cloud-based Oracle databases (RDS) to PostgreSQL cloud-based databases (setting data procedures).
Removal of Oracle Spatial.
Ensure data integrity security and performance of cloud-based databases during and after the migration.
Provide technical expertise and support for database-related issues.
Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
Monitor and optimize database performance ensuring high availability and scalability.
Collaborate with other teams and involvement in other IT systems of the OP and the Data Migration leader to ensure database design meets application requirements.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Knowledge of data modelling and data warehousing.
Bachelor or equivalent degree of at least 3 successful years of post-high school education in Information Technology or Computer Science or Computing (EQF level 6) or 2 years of professional experience in addition to experience required in section Experience below for each missing year of required years of studies.
Very good knowledge of English (Level C1 - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in IT of which:
5 years of experience as a DBA with a focus on cloud migration and database administration.
5 years of experience with database design and development.
5 years of experience of Oracle Oracle Spatial RDS and PostgreSQL.
2 years of experience with cloud migration including data transfer and synchronization.
1 year Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum Kanban).
