Job Summary

Develop and implement comprehensive production plans aligned with sales forecasts capacity constraints and business objectives.
Lead a team of production planners providing guidance performance management and professional development.
Collaborate with Sales Supply Chain Procurement and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on delivery commitments and resource availability.
Monitor and analyze production performance metrics (e.g. on-time delivery schedule adherence inventory turns) and drive corrective actions.
Optimize material requirements planning (MRP) master production scheduling (MPS) and capacity planning processes.
Ensure accurate and timely update of production schedules including handling of changes exceptions and prioritization of urgent orders.
Utilize ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) to generate reports forecasts and dashboards for senior management review.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste improve planning accuracy and increase operational agility.
Manage supplier and internal capacity constraints proactively to prevent production bottlenecks.
Maintain compliance with safety quality and environmental standards within the planning function.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Management Industrial Engineering or a related field; MBA or certification in Supply Chain/Operations (e.g. APICS CSCP) is a plus.
510 years of progressive experience in production planning scheduling or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of leading production planning teams and delivering on-time delivery targets.
Expertise in ERP systems (SAP preferred) MRP MPS and demand planning tools.
Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic production environments.
Experience in a high-volume continuous manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
