Procurement Manager - Construction

About Role:
Control construction materials spending and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs. Monitor markets and business trends and construction materials availability to pay the best without sacrificing quality or delivery times. Develop long-term procurement strategies and evaluate consequences. Organize tenders for deliveries of direct construction materials (mineral wool trapezoidal roof metal sheets cladding wall panels gates docks solar panels fit out materials); gather offers from various suppliers do bid comparisons and further negotiate with the suppliers to get the best possible rates; conclude group frame agreements. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and preparing control strategies.
Main responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day procurement of interior fit-out materials services and contractors ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing aligned with project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fit-out suppliers and subcontractors leading negotiations on pricing contracts and delivery terms.
- Manage and optimize supplier performance including KPIs claims and risk mitigation across multiple projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies focused on cost savings value engineering and unit price optimization while maintaining high interior quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with Design Construction Project Management Logistics Controlling and Procurement teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements proactively identifying and mitigating commercial and delivery risks.
- Maintain a strong commercial view on cost per SQM balancing investment operating maintenance and repair costs to support assets with a 50 year lifecycle.
- Track and analyze unit pricing market trends and supplier costs to identify continuous cost-reduction opportunities.
- Support sustainable and ESG-aligned procurement including the evaluation and recommendation of innovative construction materials and solutions.
- Track analyze and report key procurement and cost metrics to improve efficiency transparency and financial performance.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience
- Strong negotiation skills
- Fluent in Czech English preferred
- Based in Prague or Brno
