VicRoads is progressing August 2022 we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super Australian Retirement Trust and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.

We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access infrastructure and safety.

About the opportunity

This is a rare and influential opportunity to lead the commercial evolution of VicRoads identity and data services at a time of significant growth innovation and sector transformation. As the Head of Identity and Data Commercialisation you will define and champion the overarching strategy for this emerging business line setting a clear direction for how VicRoads trusted identity and licensing assets can create value for customers partners and the broader Victorian community.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of identity and data products shaping product vision market positioning pricing and performance targets. Central to your impact will be developing a scalable commercial strategy that transforms these assets for government agencies financial services insurers and automotive partners while ensuring exceptional privacy governance and ethical standards.

A critical focus of the role is establishing the operational foundations of a new commercial enterprise. You will design and embed endtoend processes across acquisition onboarding and customer support ensuring VicRoads can operate with efficiency transparency and commercial discipline at scale.

You will also lead improvements to Victorias digital identity and licensing experience creating frictionless secure and compliant ways for Victorians and organisations to verify and interact with identity data balancing commercial ambition with trust safety and community confidence.

About you

You are an accomplished commercial leader with deep expertise in identity and digital product ecosystems ideally within complex regulated or hightrust environments. You combine strategic thinking with operational discipline bringing a track record of shaping and commercialising products that balance revenue growth with privacy compliance and ethical governance. Confident navigating ambiguity you excel in establishing new business lines embedding endtoend commercial processes and scaling operations with transparency and accountability.

As a senior people leader you foster high performance collaboration and innovation creating teams that embrace Agile principles continuous improvement and datainformed decisionmaking. You are skilled at influencing executives regulators government partners and enterprise stakeholders through clear insights commercial storytelling and strong relationshipbuilding.

Your approach is grounded in integrity and public trustrecognising the importance of privacy data ethics and customer confidence when working with identity and licensing information. You thrive in transformation environments bringing commercial acumen product expertise and a futurefocused mindset to deliver meaningful sustainable impact for customers partners and the community.

You will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce Product Data or related fields
• Proven commercial leadership with full P&L accountability
• Experience commercialising identity and digital services in regulated settings
• Strong financial pricing and forecasting capability
• Experience establishing or scaling new business lines or commercial operations
• Senior leadership capability across product commercial and operational teams
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influence at executive and industry levels
