Dover Middle School is looking for a student support specialist for the deans office (also referred to as ISS aide). This person would be responsible for working with students who have been sent to the deans office either out of class by a teacher or who have been assigned in-school suspension. These students can often be challenging. It is imperative that the candidate feel comfortable working with students while the deans are out of the office. The position also requires a high level of communication with other faculty members and parents. This person would be responsible for maintaining accurate discipline records via our online system. Other tasks relative to this position may be assigned by the deans on an as needed basis. Due to the nature of this position a high level of confidentiality is necessary and position is School Year Only Monday through Friday from 7:30-2:30This position is part of the DPA and hourly pay starts at a Grade 2 Step 1 of $16.73 - Step 7 of $22/hour. If a para II certification is obtained the pay starts at a Grade 3 Step 1 of $19.97 - Step 7 of $26.80/hour.
