We are the largest hotel in Portugal located in the beautiful capital of our country with a total of 577 rooms a swimming pool and garden a bar and restaurant for guests to enjoy.
The Job:
Customer Service
- Serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with service standards
- Welcome assist and bid farewell to guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience
- Answer questions regarding menu items and provide food and beverage recommendations
- Handle guest concerns complaints and special requests positively and efficiently
Order Management and Communication
- Enter orders accurately into the MICROS system at the appropriate time
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding:
- Special requests allergies and dietary restrictions
- Product availability
- Waiting times and re-cooked orders
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage
Service Preparation and Organization
- Set tables according to event type and service standards
- Ensure that china glassware cutlery and service equipment are clean and properly presented
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift following clean-as-you-go procedures
Cash Handling and Payments
- Present accurate checks to guests in a timely manner
- Process payments in compliance with cash handling and credit card policies
- Ensure proper handling of gratuities
Safety Hygiene and Compliance
- Follow all health safety and security policies and procedures
- Report accidents injuries or unsafe working conditions to management
- Use equipment and personal protective gear correctly
- Comply with responsible alcohol service procedures (e.g. TIPS CARE)
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments
- Support team members to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
- Maintain professional respectful working relationships
Closing Duties
Perform end-of-shift tasks including:
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and service areas
- Restocking supplies
- Proper storage of reusable items
- Turning off lights and securing designated areas
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Lift carry and move moderately heavy items
- Perform repetitive motions such as bending reaching twisting and carrying objects
