AECOM is actively seeking a talented Pipeline Project Manager for immediate employment out of one of our AECOM offices. This is a Hybrid position. Our teams strengths are diversity of relevance of clients from private developers federal utilities municipal and technology developers working on leading edge infrastructure.
The Pipeline Project Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage pipeline design projects with oversight of the pipeline design team.
- Successful execution of cross-country natural gas petroleum products crude oil CO2 and hydrogen pipeline projects.
- Profit and loss responsibility for projects.
- Primary interface with clients.
- Seller/doer approach to program execution.
- Support business development efforts by developing industry-competitive proposals.
- Responsible for change management for projects.
- Make decisions with general understanding of procedures company policies and business practices to achieve results and deadlines.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong project and program management skills including planning resource allocation and financial oversight.
- Proficiency with project management software tools such as Primavera P6 MS Project or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal teams contractors vendors and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of pipeline engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Willingness to travel to field locations as needed (typically 10-20%).
Qualifications :
Minimum requirements
- Bachelors degree and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Proven track record managing large complex pipeline projects or programs from initiation through execution and closeout
Preferred qualifications:
- 12 years of relevant experience
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering construction procurement and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with pipeline construction standards safety regulations (e.g. DOT PHMSA) and environmental compliance.
- Experience with budgeting scheduling risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Thorough understanding of pipeline engineering practices construction practices and permitting practices.
- Thorough understanding and experience managing third party pipeline survey contractors and other subcontractors as required.
- Thorough understanding and experience managing third party right of way acquisition subcontractors.
- Experience leading and/or mentoring pipeline engineers and GIS staff.
- Familiarity with GIS mapping and pipeline integrity management tools
