During this internship you will help support manage purchasing project engineering for Steering Drive Systems. A few of your key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate and support key functions including strategic planning inter-departmental communication and supplier relationship development.
- Oversee supplier development tasks for new components ensuring timely sample delivery production readiness and adherence to implementation timelines.
- Contribute to team-led improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity optimizing cycle times and reducing failures.
- Perform various follow-up and administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Engineering (Industrial Mechanical Mechatronics Electrical Automotive Materials or a related field).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proficient in English (written and verbal communication).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to commit to a minimum 1-year internship period.
**This internship will be onsite in Plymouth MI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Analytical and structural approach.
- Work well independently highly motivated results oriented.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Ability to develop network in very complex company culture.
- Presentation Skills
