Analytica is seeking aTechnical Business Analystthat will serve as the crucial link between clinical/operational stakeholders and the technical development team within the Defense Health Agency. This role involves translating complex healthcare and business needs into detailed technical requirements specifically focusing on data management ETL processes SQL farm development and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity and compliance with all federal and DoD healthcare regulations (e.g. HIPAA).

Responsibilities:
Requirements Management:Elicit analyze and document complex business and technical requirements from various stakeholders to support data integration and reporting initiatives.
ETL Operations Support:Collaborate with data engineering teams to define test andvalidatedata extraction transformation and loading (ETL) processes from disparate sources (e.g. EHRs claims data clinical systems) into the enterprise data warehouse.
Data Modeling and Database Design:Support the design of data models and database structures including defining primary keys indexing strategies and normalization to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
SQL Development Support:Provide specifications andassistin the creation maintenance and optimization of SQL queries stored procedures and scripts used for data analysis and reporting.
Data Flow and Process Documentation:Develop andmaintaindetailed documentation including data flow diagrams source-to-target mapping documents and operational procedures to ensure transparency and reproducibility of data processes.
Reporting and Visualization:Define specifications for reports and dashboards (using tools like Power BI or Tableau) and collaborate with development teams to create visualizations that present complex healthcare data in an easily understandable format for decision-making.
Data Quality and Governance:Perform data profiling quality checks and gap analysis toidentifydiscrepancies and ensure the integrity accuracy and consistency of data across systems adhering to DHA data governance standards.
Testing and Validation:Create test plans and cases and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) using SQL scripts tovalidatesolutions before deployment.
Stakeholder Communication:Facilitatemeetings and serve as the bridge between technical teams and non-technical personnel (clinicians managers) to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Education:Bachelors degree in Health Informatics Business Information Systems ora relatedtechnical field.
Experience:Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a healthcare or defense environment with a strong emphasis on data analysis and technical team support.
Technical Proficiency:
Strongproficiencyin SQL for data querying and analysis.
Experience with ETL frameworks and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) is a plus.
Understanding ofrelational database management system (RDBMS) concepts.
Domain Knowledge:Knowledge of healthcare operations data privacy laws (HIPAA etc.) and a working knowledge of the Military Health System (MHS) or DHA operations is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Clearance:Ability to obtain andmaintaina DoD security clearance; Active Secret Clearance preferred
