Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives for Allied World Hong Kong across its product lines and distribution channels. The delivery of additional business opportunities will be achieved through active and strategic management of brokers agents and clients and the role will support the execution of our digital strategy.
Job Duties:
- Work directly with the Deputy Country Head of Hong Kong branch and key business leaders in Hong Kong to develop and execute strategic initiatives successfully
- Foster service and grow broker agent and key client relationships for Allied World Hong Kong
- Build engage and expand existing and new commercial relationships with brokers agents and clients to identify key opportunities (and risks) and develop credible account submissions
- Be the key conduit between IT and business stakeholders in execution of our digital strategy for agent and customer platforms
- Advocate the use of data analytics to identify new opportunities and support data-driven decisions
- Lead regular governance meetings with brokers to review performance and identify and execute action items
- Work closely with key business leaders in Hong Kong branch to manage and co-ordinate business proposals and tender responses
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Essential Requirements:
- 5-10 years of relevant background in commercial underwriting broking or analytical roles
- Ability to build strong relationships and be visible with brokers and agents
- Ability to identify and assess the needs of brokers and key clients and turn those needs into successful opportunities and business strategies
- Comprehensive understanding of Allied World products capabilities risk appetite and competitive differentiation and the ability to articulate our products strengths and our overall strategic direction
- Broad analytical skills particularly in developing and monitoring performance
- Strong strategic business mindset
- Highly collaborative with demonstrated ability to influence teams and stakeholders
- Mature motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently with limited resources
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English and Cantonese
