Job Summary
CDL Special Education School Bus Driver(Calendar Year)Start Date: January 20 2025Responsibilities include:Transport district special education students (and adult chaperones as needed) between home and school following an assigned bus route as well as for school activitiesAssist students on and off the bus according to their individual needs including emergency exit Monitor student behavior to maintain a safe environmentOperate wheelchair lift harness and other special equipment safelyCommunicate with teachers parents transportation manager and the Special Education Director as neededPerform daily safety inspection of vehicle(s) including fuel check check fluid levels and report repair needs and complete incident reports as required Occasionally perform work beyond the standard 40-hour work weekMaintain all licensing and certificates and submit to random drug and alcohol screeningsOther job-related duties as assigned
