Our rapidly growing partner a Global Top10 Innovative Pharma is in search of a Category Buyer Expert for CAPEX projects focusing on the Western European region. This professional will provide procurement strategy to the Construction & Engineering departments while holding continuous contact with the Global Category Procurement team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional procurement strategy aligned with the global category strategy.
- Conduct internal and external analysis to set strategic direction for each category and sub-category.
- Stay updated on supply chain best practices and industry benchmarks.
- Build a strong network of regional stakeholders and collaborate globally to drive strategic initiatives.
- Align procurement strategies with business needs ensuring smooth implementation.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships also performance to ensure quality timely delivery and contract compliance.
- Conduct business reviews with key suppliers as needed.
- Identify and forecast CAPEX needs for projects in the region - packages lead RFQs cost savings.
- Develop and implement a regional CAPEX procurement strategy in alignment with global strategies.
- Track and report procurement savings and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in cost management risk mitigation innovation ESG and corporate responsibility.
Requirements:
- CAPEX procurement experience (2-3 years) - advantage if it is from the pharmaceutical industry.
- Bsc in Engineering/Business or any other field relevant in procurement.
- High level of English language skills both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of CAPEX pharma supplier market in construction.
- Negotiation and project management skills and techniques.
